GMD Poll: Top Ten Albums of 1998

You obviously do care, since you're going to great lengths to make your disagreement with my decision not to put the album on my list known, as well as trying to quantify my love for the album.

Weirdly, you'll find that I haven't singled out your list and questioned why it doesn't have my #1 album on it and I also wouldn't bother because people who don't care usually don't do that type of thing. Feel free to tell me what albums aside from Deathcult are even on my list, since it apparently has so many albums that I only just like on it.

yeah, you're making waaayy to much of this. All i'm saying is its weird for someone to say they love an album and leave it off their list. That's all. You can take a deep breath of air now and give chowder a pat on the head.

"I LOVE OBSCURA BUT LIKE THE CHASM ... WHICH DO YOU THINK IS GONNA MAKE MY LIST???"

Also, do you even have a list for me to "single out"?

When did I say that I only like and do not love The Chasm? You can love something without worshipping it or believing it's the greatest thing ever.

You are the one making way too much out of this by trying to challenge my assertion that I love Obscura.

When did I say that I only like and do not love The Chasm?

You said you dont worship them, but you like them .. but not to the degree of other posters here. You never said you loved them. And i would be having this beautifully autistic conversation with you regardless of which bands were in question.

Ok fine you love Obscura, but not as much as you love Deathcult. Happy?

I'm glad that it took you this entire argument to figure out something that I openly stated at the beginning. Good job.

... except that you just once again ignored that the whole point was that i was pointing out your flip-flopping ways. Here let me get elementary for you. People here LOVE The Chasm. You said you LIKE the Chasm, but not to the extent of others here. You also said you LOVE Obscura. You're just all over the place. Are you afraid of losing some in-crowd points or what, babygirl?

I am the in-crowd, dear. You seem to have forgotten that. I'm exempt from point deductions. That's why I can afford to not list The Chasm as #1 in years where they released an album, like I'll be doing in 1998.

i woudn't expect you to put them at #1 since you clearly don't LOVE them like others do here.

I am the in-crowd, dear.

Yeah, if you would have talked to me 5 years ago, that Incantation album would have been in my top 3 for this year. It's still a damn good album, but I've lost a lot of interest in it personally.

1. Gorguts - Obscura
2. Botch - American Nervoso
3. Meshuggah - Chaosphere
4. Morbid Angel - Formulas Fatal to Flesh
5. Blood Duster - Str8 Outta Northcote
6. Bolt Thrower - Mercenary
7. System of a Down - s/t
8. Converge - When Forever Comes Crashing

That'll do.
