Actually, I said that I don't think that they're the best death metal band of all time even though that's a popular opinion here, and I don't. It probably won't be my top choice this year either.

Yeah you did say that too along with "i like them ... but i dont worship them". So again, do you really love Obscura? I think i just might know you better than you.
I consider Obscura an 8/10 album. For me, that's within the threshold where I consider it an album that I love. You can be as butthurt as you want (which is clearly quite butthurt), but that doesn't mean that my opinion is contradictory to my claim that I love the album.
Despite the fact that I don't consider The Chasm the best death metal band ever, I'd still rate almost every album by them higher than Obscura. Worship is reserved for bands in a higher echelon than that, unfortunately.
