GO FUCKING JIRA! US TOUR ... Fa Kin Su Pah!

Opeth17 and I will be hitting the Denver show on the 11th. We'll be doing interviews, pictures, videos, high fives, and so on. I'll let everybody know when we get all that shizzle on the bizzle.

so it looks like the setlist will look something like this:

- Ocean Planet
- Backbone
- Remembrance
- Clone
- Flying Whales
- The Heaviest Matter Of The Universe

another cool video from Arizona the other night ...
Gojira Flying Whales Live Arizona - Google Video

The fact that they're playing Remembrance live is worth it alone. How they'll pull it off though is anyone's guess. The riffs in the outro section are INHUMAN.

Also, not sure why they picked Flying Whales. That might kill some of the momentum....

I hear, and its pretty much confirmed from the videos, that they can pull off every note live, and just as brutally clear as on the cd's

you need to seek out the The Link DVD ... what a show ...

Went to the Kansas show last night. Sanctity (is that their name?) did not suit my fancy, Gojira was pretty damn good (though I wasn't compelled to buy a CD), and Amon Amarth slew (despite them playing nothing older than Death in Fire).

so what's the scoop, farmer?

I just got back from Denver a few minutes ago, so I'll be uploading photos and videos from the show as soon as I have time to look through them.

Gojira pulled off all the songs PERFECTLY. I don't have a set list right now, and I was so preoccupied taking pictures and video that my memory doesn't remember the exact set list.

I'll be reviewing the show later, but as far as I'm concerned Gojira was excellent, Amon Amarth was a lot of fun, and Children of Bodom have a late of trendy fans.

Overall, it's a pretty strange set list. First off, I'm surprised they're not playing "To Sirius". Personally, I don't think it's a great song. However, it's been getting regular play on MTV2's "Headbanger's Ball". It's odd that they wouldn't play the one song that they should have any expectation that the American audience would be familiar with. I'm also surprised they're not playing "Where Dragons Dwell" or "From the Sky", which I think are the two best tracks on the disc.:erk:
