This weekend I went to the rehearsal and recorded some of my MesaBoogie 2:50 and my Carvin cabinets with V30.

Since I only use impulses in Space designer and can't get it to work with other programs, I thought of uploading the sinewaves of each recording instead and if some nice soul could deconvolve and make impulses of them I'll gladly post them on the site.

I used two mics a SM57 and a Sennheiser MD421(my fave) for this. One round straight into the speaker and another round tilted 45 degrees.

The files are marked as: md421-rak-0.aif and md421-rak-50.aif etc. The 0 and 50 is how much presence that was used on the poweramp. Rak is straight in swedish.

The files can be found here: http://www.feared.se/crap/Goddamn-sweeps.zip

And for those of you that are using Logic the impulses for Spacedesigner could be found here : http://www.feared.se/crap/Goddamnsweepforspacedesigner.zip

UPDATED: For wav impulses for Revalver and other impulse programs download the impulses from here, thank Wild Hades for making this possible:

Here is a video of me playing the impulses with my 570 preamp. Nothing fancy though

Thank you for doing this sir. Now, if someone that knows how to do this will deconvolve these. The 421 is my favorite mic and I'd love to finally have some good impulses with this.

You do realize Voxengo Deconvolver is free and easy to use Mark? ;) Here's a link to WildHades' impulse creating guide that spells it all out!

Honestly, no I didn't Marcus. I thought their deconvolver was a retail app. :) Damn, now you're putting me to work...when I should be mixing vocals on the song. :heh: (joking) I've got some homework tonight!

Edit: checking their site...doesn't appear to be free to me ($40).

Yeah, but AFAIK the only limitation with the free version is only being able to deconvolve one impulse at a time, and after 3, you have to close the program and re-open it. And I made mine with the free version! ;)
