Best American band out there right now (and best death metal out there right now too) is Immolation.

Almost the same could be said for The Chasm (even though they are not originally American) and Gorguts...

In your opinion, what's so bad about them? My opinion can't be as absurd as you made it seem.... there's alot of validity behind this band's music.

They've got a very unique sound, as well as a strong sense of atmosphere and song structure; something alot of death metal bands today lack. Except for lyric-wise, they are certainly no 'run-of-the-mill' death metal.
