I can definately tell you that As I Lay Dying are NOT grindcore. Although I do like the band with their heavy Dark Tranquillity and In Flames influences.

Impaled's 'Mondo Medicale' is definately one of my faves right now.

Haha they are more Carcass (Necrotisism) worship than regular grind. But Impaled are closer to grind than Converge, As I Lay Dying, or Between The Buried And Me that's for sure.
