I would say death is thrash, so listen to sound of perseverance if you haven't

Well, there are the obvious Metallica, Megadeth, and Slayer recommendations, plus.. Exodus - Bonded by Blood is pretty good. But yeah.. Not much thrash I've heard really compares to the Big Three.

Yeah, I have heard Sound Of Perseverance, and it is a really good album.

I've got schizophrenia, the legacy, and pleasure to kill, but I'm gonna check out sodom and sarcofago.

yea. wasnt too shabby actually, they still have some spunk and attitude in them.

I've been a fan of most of the Sepultura stuff up until 'Arise'. I felt 'Arise' was the most accessible whilst still being somewhat musically credible. I'd definitely suggest that.

Obviously there's the old Slayer stuff... Reign in Blood, Seasons in the Abyss, South of Heaven. I'll probably get killed for saying this, but I didn't mind Diabolus in Musica... but after God Hates Us All I cut myself off from that band completely.

Yeah At the Gates is melo death, but melo death and thrash still share a lot of elements

(It's bordering on another genre though, because this is one of the later albums where the singer also does death vocals.)

Has anyone heard the new Sepultura, Dante XXI, I really don't care too much for it. I gave it a couple listens, and it has a couple decent songs, but not one of their better albums.

as far as thrash goes, id agree/say that testament do it best
