Goregrind

I've always had a fondness for Goregrind but I don't own much. I picked up Last Days of Humanity - Rancid Sound... at MDF though and I quite like it

Lymphatic Phlegm is the best current goregrind band; innovative, catchy, brutal and just overall VERY much art (fuck you Alter )...amazing fucking band.

Another good band to check out that I didn't see mentioned is Blue Holocaust; the debut album is 30-something tracks of thrasy, noisy goregrind...awesome stuff.

Anyway, around a year and a half ago I made this goregrind top ten list...some positions would be changed (new Lymphatic Phlegm last year is imo a little better than the first.

I can't believe I forgot to mention Mexigorge. While I liked the debut (Chronic Corpora Infest), Forensick is vastly superior, a truly chaotic masterpiece of the genre. Good list, V5.

I find next to nothing of worth in goregrind, but I did love the hell out of SDC's Inventory Of Fixtures because it was really rocky and shit, grind'n'roll in a sense.

That album is basically crusty grind, great album but kind of a weird departure for them.

Regarding SCD, I only have the debut, but I find it to be excellent, state-of-the-art goregrind. For more rocking goregrind, check out Mucupurulent's work after Sicko Baby.

Soul Reaver is a pretty decent record.

I actually liked We Came for the Dead quite a bit, but everything after that was kinda meh.

Yeah, We Came For the Dead ruled. They got too cheesy (musically) after that.

I liked all of Ghouls releases. Blood Freak would be goregrind? I have a lot to learn.

Maniaxe was decent but they started getting too cheesy for my liking.

Yeah. I guess I would consider myself a pretty big Ghoul fan but when Splatterthrash came out...meh. I tried to like it but it just doesn't have the same charm and appeal that We Came For The Dead has.

What do people think of Gruesome Stuff Relish? I saw them live and it sounded alright, but their sound was marred by th fact that the guttural vocalists mic was too low to be heard.

I really, really enjoyed that band's debut, which was like a mix of carcass-styled goregrind and Sunlight Swedish death. Highly, highly recommended. I haven't heard anything of theirs other than that, though I read that they're putting their second album out soon, if it's not out already.
