I've never seen a black metal band live. I can drive about 3 or 4 hours to most venues in Denver. I should really do that.

I've seen both Immortal and Behemoth live - post black metal phase, however. Otherwise I don't think I've ever seen a grim black metal show live either. I did see Deicide though.

Carpathian Forest was probably the best black metal gig I ever saw... Generally speaking I don't think it gets better than thrash live, and black metal is mostly not suited for it.
