Just the other day, I was thiking about what my favourite thrash albums would be, and "Hell Awaits" is pretty f'in far up there! Funny to see it so disregarded around these parts.

Slayer is pretty solid live, still, but a lot of the energy seemed to have disappeared over the years, as is the case with almost all the eighties acts that have kept active.

i saw them last about 1.5 years ago and they still blow many a band off the stage with the energy ...but hey, they are in their mid 40's by now ... not 25
