Can't wait to finally record again. Haven't recorded anything in fucking ages...Plus I will be able to dual mic. So I'll do some In Flames with le old fiddy juan fiddy.

If anyone needs anything reamped let me know...just tell me what amp you want used...

Cool dude, what happened (specifically) to your Omega? My housemate has a Lambda, hopefully the same fate won't befall his!

Nice dude, can't wait to hear your new recordings! :) IIRC, the preamps on your Omega just stopped working?

i got one of those about a month or so ago and it's been working great.
i had the normal conflicts with my wireless pci card, but just got a usb wireless adapter and it's been perfect ever since. LUV IT.

The MIC2 Preamp effectively "died".

Then I had USB issues. It would randomly reset then you get the standard "new hardware found" even though it had already been installed.

It should be noted I'd used another Omega before to help record a band and had absolutely no issues.

I'been using the presonus firestudio for a few months with Adobe Audition 2 & 3. I absolutely love it! I have run into zero problems so far.

Hope you enjoy it!

It arrived.

I'm awaiting the Firewire Card.

I was told AFTER I ordered the card it needs to be a TI or VIA Chipset to work properly with the Presonus stuff. Luckily it's a VIA Chipset Card. :ill:

For the future always get a Texas Instruments chip. they are far more compatible with almost all audio interfaces. Where as VIA isn't.

If you have problems, switch it up, I bought a VIA firewire card and it didn't work with my Firstudio 26. Switched to a belkin TI card and it has worked flawlessly.

Well it hasn't arrived yet. And it's still processing. Fuck this. I'm cancelling the order. Taken 10 days for "processing". I'll go to a store and pick up the Belkin Firewire Card.

Cannot get the thing installed.

Not syncing and The Firestudio Control Panel wont opens just keeps crashing.

WHAT CANT SHIT JUST FUCKING WORK LIKE IT SUPPOSED TOO.

One more day and I return the thing.

I've had a LOT of trouble with presonus stuff recently. Really sucks, because, in theory (and when it actually works), their equipment is great.

It has to be the Firewire Card. There is nothing else that can explain it.

Should I be getting sound out of regardless of whether it's hooked up to a computer?

If I plug a guitar or mic in and put the headphones in should I be hearing playback? Or do you need to use the Presonus FireControl bullshit? (which crashes anyway).
