Graveland.....

i remember getting M&D and thinking it was the most boring id heard up to that point. nowadays it is one of my faves.

the re-release is totally worth it. it sounds better than before. added instruments from the new graveland chick, Alruna. you can get it cheap from red stream

What is your opinion on Cold Winter Blades and Wotan Mit Mir, the last two EPs?

Cwb is excellent. Its where lord wind really started shining through. The latest one continues that sound. Wmm is good, but mandatory only for diehards or if u find it cheap.

So over the last month or so I've become obsessed with Graveland. My favorites are Dawn of Iron Blades, Fire Chariot of Destruction, Following The Voice of Blood, and Thunderbolts of the Gods, but I have still have about 10 albums to digest more fully. The best thing about getting into Graveland is how many albums I have to listen to at the moment.

I celebrate the guy's entire catalogue. For my money, I don't think it gets any better than when he croaks "blood of christians on my sword"

i also highly highly recommend atlantean monument and ales stenar from lord wind.

also, darken is fucking weird

i couldnt care less if some dude wants to pretend he's slaying the abominable snowman. we listen to bands that have murderers, sing about lord of the rings, brand inverted crosses on their foreheads, growl about satan on stage and then go bang a boy toy up the ass backstage.....etc.

metal has always been ridiculous.

Quoted for truth. I listen to the albums and don't really care how cheesy or what political stance the band has. If the albums are good, who cares about anything else?

no offense ken. i love you, man. but your metal credibility is nil these days. what the fuck is that shit youre posting in the other thread. c'mon man!

After many years of staying as a solo project the time has come for some serious, epochal changes! Again, Graveland will be joined by other musicians that will be supposed to prepare the band for live performances. Working on two Gravleand tracks for the cd split with Nokturnal Mortum will be a little test for the cooperation within the new line-up. On the 7th/8th of March 2015 we have recorded drum section for both new Graveland compositions. The new drummer is no one else than previously announced Mirosław Rosiński (Mystherium, Horns, ex-Moontower, ex-Warfist). You can check the sample from the session below. In April we will record guitars again, later bass and vocals. Anna "Alruna" Oklejewicz also take part in those recordings, she is responsible for chello and medieval viella. Both compositions will be ready by the end of April. One of them will be also used for a video clip consisting of material recorded by Darken in Austrian mountains and forests.

Raise your Swords and Banners high! Soon you will see Graveland on the battlefield!
