Oh yeah, I also bought a kazoo. And played along with MAYH. I improvised a thirf guitar. including solos, and harmonics. I WILL BECOME THE KAZOO MASTER, or I will gather disciples and busk in melbourne playing opeth songs with 3 - 5 kazoos. Who will be my disciples?

Have you heard of this band? Has anyone? This box set is amazing, with 5 full length albums contained within.

A few months ago, I bought X Japan's latest Album, Dahlia, and it cost me $80 to get it imported.

So this discovery is just phenominal. And the Emperor DVD is quite ... peachy... Those guys know their guitars, and I don't know shit, but the complexity of some of those riffs, the whole show gave me goose bumps.

The CD I spent $80 on was well worth it.

X Japan is probably my 3rd favorite band behind Yes and Opeth.

Well, you see, if I told you what kind of music they are, you would dismiss the band. They are an aquired taste, and listeners need some level of obsession with japan. But you could sortof term them as a Guns and roses from japan, except with far superior musical composition, and much faster heavier drumming, and some interesting experimentalism.

Run over to audiogalaxy and try these songs:

Scars
Drain
Kurenai
Art Of Life (30 minute Opus)
White Wind From Mr Martin (Their equivilent of Requim)
Wriggle
Orgasm

and anything else..

They are/were the largest band in Japan, their shows frequently had 100,000+ audiences. Each member of the band is worshipped as a god, and most have store chains named after them, like the Hide shop.

the guys:

Yoshiki: Drums, Piano, Composer (Genius, Looks like a woman.)
Toshi: Vocalist. (Clean oldschool metal vocals)
Hide: Guitars. (He's the most "image" guy, he's dead now)
Pata: A always smiling Japanese version of the Lord Of Silence, Like american Liquer)
Heath: Bass. (stuff)

This band is not similar to Opeth in anyway. But They are amazing.
