Guitar Tone Competition 3: Files and rules

Maybe the next competition should be something like more standard Death metal? I mean for a change, a death metal tone is definitely different than a metalcore tone, it would be a different type of challenge.

I'm uploading my submission right now, should be done in a while
+ 1, though, despite not being a fan of metalcore, I have to say I ended up singing this song after a couple of plays :p
I don't suppose theres a chance of getting the tab for this awesome song? :D I wouldn't mind having a go at learning some of this haha
I can make the tab if there's not one made by the composer.

I'll be resubmitting mine in the next few days. Wasn't very impressed on 2nd listen. Sorry Mark!

Update the link you sent to me, and I'll consider it 1 submission :) I won't download the files until the deadline anyway exactly for this reason.

I think if you give the new file the same name as the old one, and reupload it to the same folder on dropbox, the link stays the same anyway, so you wouldnt have to send another mail
and yeah Jevil, FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

btw, just throwing the ball around, but would someone be interested in synth tone competition? Like having a totally midi written song that you have to reamp everything (drums, bass, leads etc)?

Hah that would be fun! And a wide spanned competition. Kinda hard to decide the "best" tone. :)

Count me in, but would even be funnier if anyone can use the instruments he prefers, banjos, orchestras, zulu percusion, farts... every song would be such different from the rest. The only rule, not allowed editing midi files.

my post got erased because of the server failure the other day. I was saying, About making also a bass tone competition? you would get premixed guitars and everything else, and would have to make a tone that sounds awesome but does not sound above the guitars or other stuff, it could be a good challenge to make a bass tone that is memorable yet stays in the background how it should be. What do you think?

Another thing, Mark is it too much to ask of you to post all the submissions you have recieved? just in case some email didn't arrive or something?
