Just introducing myself...I suppose I shoulda posted this before I made like twenty other posts, but oh well. I'm mainly into old-school thrash (especially of the Bay Area variety), as well as the classics (Maiden, Priest, Sabbath, etc.), but my band's singer (known to you guys as burning creation) introduced me to the awesomeness that is Amon Amarth. I'll be picking up an album as soon as I get my paycheck in July...I'd ask you guys what to start with, but I know I'm probably just giong to get whatever's cheapest.

So, yeah. Metal fucking rules. I'll be seeing you guys around.

Hmm, concerning which AA album to get, I'd say "all of 'em". But if you like thrash, perhaps you should start with the most brutal one (in my opinion, at least), The Crusher.

I'd say The Crusher is a good place to start, Vs. the World also (more so if you get the 2 disc viking edition).
