help me become a better guitar player im lost

ok i posted another thing about ideas and i still want help on things that would help me become an awesome guitar player cuz i no soo much but i dont no exactly what to work on i mean i can shgred adn play the modes and and the picking techniques but im lost soo if you would please give me an idea on what to learn that would be great

go play some Jazz or Funk or something... then come back to metal. it gives you a whole new outlook on it.


If i get bored with metal... i play soem funk/Jazz/blues or similar... then after a week/2 of playuing that... i write a metal song.. and it always has a vibe to it.

Uhm. What do you call shredding? I know people who think 16th notes at 60 BPM is fast.

my shredding is at 180 bpm and its all alternate picking

Not that it matters at all, but if you care, you should specify. Whole notes at 180bpm are kids play, while 32nd is beyond shredding lol.
