Hmm, here the question comes to my mind, what do you all think of germany and its people?
Most of you probably don't know that much about it, except this terrible past...

I spent two weeks in Germany about 3 years ago and I had a wonderful time. I spent one week in the south around Stuttgart, and I visited Mannheim, Heidelberg and Neuschwanstein. I spent my second week in Berlin. As for learning German, I picked up a few words here and there. I can read basic German just fine, like a menu or a picture book, since the words are similar in English. However, the pronunciations of the words are so different I wouldn't be able to speak it.

I think I took a train through Potsdam. I was surprised at how friendly they were to tourists in Germany, and throughout the countries I've visited. I didn't expect everyone to be Nazis or anything, that would be ridiculous. I'm sure there is a very slight minority of people who exist in Germany with that mindset, but I never ran into any problems. Just like here in the states, not everyone is in the Klan but there are people who are racist and such.
