Currently enrolled in college (City College San Francisco)...transferring to Concordia University this fall...studying Mechanical Engineering...

Second year (of 5) of a double degree in Law and Political science - and before anyone asks, no, i dont wanna be a lawyer, its just damn useful.

Heheh im also learning to speak Russian.

Currently studying to get a 'Bachelor of Communications in Audio Engineering'. I'd actually hope to go for my masters, which will be determined how well I do in the first two years. It's not actually a University, per se, but it's a post-grad thing so it's all the same.

Just got my Psychology and minor in Economics degree last December. As of now I do not have a "real" job though. Considering grad school where I may get a degree in Human Factors, or Abnormal psychology, well see. But I am sick of classes at the moment. Just turned 23 so got's me plenty of time.

I need to go to the army first :(

Israel I assume?

Personally, I'm still in high school (and doing fairly well). My current interests are philosophy and math (I'm in my second year), but I don't know if I'll go into either.

Very surprisingly, it's almost entirely college people here.

What's so surprising about that eh?!

I dunno, I guess most of the time a band that pulls off getting played on MTV is loved by teenagers, not people who are stereotypically into being intellectual. I guess prog isn't gonna be able to pull off being widely loved by teenagers until...ever actually.

Yeah, good point. Your average teeny bopers probably will never understand prog music.

Took a year off after my 1st year of college... returned last summer at the age of 20 and what a difference it makes. Rather than an obligation, i actually want to be there, and have a much more coherent idea of direction. History major, with possible minor in either philosophy or music, havent decided yet.

But what's even more strange is that it seems to generally be people from a singular age group. Are we all pretentious art-fags?

I think it has a lot to do with timing, and the availability of information on INTERNET. If you did demographic studies im sure the majority of "extreme metal" fans would be netween the ages of 15-25, so no surprise there.
