yeah, i was considering taking a year off, but..um i have to choose classes tomorrow, and i dunno what exactly i would do with a year off, as far as discovering what i would like to persue in school. i know i'd work a lot..but.

---anyway, does anyone know whether you have to take macroeconomics before micro, or does it not matter?---
 
I picked 'not attending yet, but plan to'. In fact, I was accepted in the University, and it was a fucking pain in the ass to got accepted there (a Phd on English Philology or something like that with a mention on English Literature too).
I dropped it because I'm planning to study outside the country, so I'm currently looking for a job, which is also, a pain in the ass as well.
 
B. Information Technology at Australian National University. In second year, its getting very hard very fast. I have a lot more respect for software companies now that I know how hard it is :(
 
I left school at 16 and went to college and study French, Psychology, Business Studies and Law at 'A' Level (the exams we take at 18), but dropped out after 2 years when I went off the rails a bit. There had been a couple of deaths in the family and I was not "open" to the idea of exams at the time.

I left and went to work in the family business for about 5 years, then went to work for an insurance company. Did all sorts of stuff for them, mainly focussing on pensions and calculations with the actuaries.

Still working for an insurance company at the moment, but basically wasting myself. Supplementing my income by DJing every week, so I get to have fun with that at least.

Currently part qualified as a Financial Advisor, so may take that as a career change over the next year. Certainly not happy in my current job.
 
Oh yeah I should probably mention, the course I'm studying right now is pretty much the music hobbyist's dream. There is just nothing better than walking into class only to spend a good 30 minutes ragging on Linkin Park academically, followed by cranking the shit out of the class stereo whilst 'analysing' the production characteristics.

There's ALOT to learn, but it's all so goddamned fun...

yeah i'm currently in physics 2, it's interesting, but a little tough.

anyway, i just registered for my '05 fall classes, and with no major, and no direction i chose:

intro to microeconomics
intro to oceanography
abnormal psychology
scientific basis of disease (but will switch to fundamentals of music, if the prof. lets me in)
 
I'm a programmer for a mortgage loan processing software company. Just graduated in December. Started in January. I have no social life. Please be my friend.
