Christmas is lame when you're old.
i actually have yet to venture into the action figure section of buffy fandom, i always felt that would be the indicator of me going too far. i even had to pause for a second when i saw a life-size spike cardboard cutout at newbury comics. but anyhoo, my buffy plans for christmas were spoiled by borders's sucking and either not having the season five dvd's or having them for alot more than i'd like to pay even with the $25 gift certificate.

so instead i bought X2 and Neil Gaiman's "Neverwhere"

also i agree that christmas can get lame when you are old but i think i have finally "gotten it" as far as the true meaning and whatnot. i stopped really caring whether or not i get anything a long time ago but i do get really excited about giving people stuff and probably most important is that i really enjoy this time of the year with the fam even if i am bored as shit in CT. it just is a nice relaxed feeling for me to relish until i go back to work next week.
