Holy shit that dude that owes me $1,500.00 actually sent me some money!

Adrian, how come someone ows you $1500
and how come he only sent you only 3% of it?
long story short, nad's ex-bandmates are good-for-nothing asses that live with their parents at 26yo

was that pretty close nad

Long version: I bought my ex-bandmate a $1,400 amp under the agreement that he would pay me back by the end of 2005. The other $100 was just from miscellaneous crap. I quit the band in January due to personal differences (as in I was getting guilt trips for not hanging out 3 nights a week... from a DUDE :yuk: ), and then in March said "hey man, you owe me that cash and the deadline is long past, pay up or give up." Dealt with some ridiculous bullshit from his dumb alcoholic ass until he said "fine, I'll send you some money as soon as I can." Today I get the check.

Short version: because I'm a sucker.

Nad is carecrew at heart, he is just too repressed to admit it

I respect you dude for trying to put money/art ahead of personal agrandisemement but as you see, a guy who values losers over a contributable bandmate sucks
This totally nails me. I knew the moment I bought the damn thing that there was no way I'd ever see the money for it, but I did it anyhow. I really liked the band, and I thought I'd be in it for some time. Then I stopped drinking as much and realized I wasn't too keen on dealing with an alcoholic anymore. D'oh.

Well, except the carecrew part. I think I'm nice like 90% of the time, but then that 15% I'm a right dick. Please note the 5% margin of error.

2 weeks ago a down on his luck chum asks to borrow $200 to help pay for textbooks & a credit card payment. Yesterday his Facebook tag reads, "$500 on the Cardinals." Now you tell me, is that a slap in the face? :err:

Note - This lad is a habitual gambler.

Some asshole has owed me $100 for a few months now

Nothing as major as NAD's kind-hearted stroke of misfortune, but I doubt I'll see it anytime soon

I hear you guys. I know a fellow who has duped me and MY brother easily over hundreds of dollars since he moved back to CT. its hard to get angry when you know somebody has a problem (who am i to talk), but its just ridiculous when he claims that he never owed us any money in the first place. This kid would go to such lengths that one time he asked my brother to borrow $20 for food (he lives on his own and we knew that he didn't have any food), so he gets the $20, goes to the super market where his friend works and has the kid make up a fake receipt for $19 and some change. he promply went out and used the real money to buy some pills (a confirmed fact).

January 12th,

Friend: Can you spot me $200 by today or tomorrow? I'll pay you back next month at the latest.

RIA: I can lend it to you if you're in desperate need, but may I ask, what do you need this money for?!? In trouble with booky?

Friend: LOL No. I don't gamble as much as I used to. I need it to buy some books and pay off a CC debt. I'm officially broke as a my pals. I wasted too much money in 08. Trying to change this shit around for the new year.

January 26th:

Facebook mssg: J.Doe has put $500 on the Cardinals

RIA's head: WTF?!?!?

If you're down to your last $1,000 in your savings, you do not turn to friends to support your academic pursuits, you dip in to your savings until nothing remains except for the .0001% interest. I honestly felt that this lad was in such dire straights that his remaining funds were specifically allocated for gas & food. In which case, I had no problem helping him dig out of the mire of mishandled money management.

To Hell with Peer Provided Stimulus Packages!
