horror movie hoe-down!!!

Cannibal Holocaust is still the most disturbing thing I've seen, by a longshot. It was great, but I'd never watch that a second time.

i downloaded it last time you spoke about it, then deleted it a few months ago without watching it.

skipping through it reminded me of Gods Must Be Crazy :loco:

It's a great film but the animal torture stuff is pretty brutal. I mean the turtle scene just hurts to watch, and seeing the reaction of the actors... wow. Eh, just read the Wikipedia entry for the historical significance of that one. :loco:

Of course I just recently found out about the baboon scene in The Omen, apparently they doped up the leader baboon to put inside the car so the rest of the troup would freak out and attack them for the shot. I met Lee Remick's son a few months ago, apparently the horror on her face during that scene was genuine terror. Neat!

Animals make good art and food, who knew?!

CEMETARY MAN gOD DAMMIT.

Oh yeah and fans of The Thing should watch the remake/prequel/whatever. It's not very good (not bad either), but the way they tie virtually every set into Carpenter's version is pretty amazing. I don't think I'd watch that one more than once or twice, but definitely enjoyable if you've studied* The Thing excessively like I have, clearly those involved with the prequel are huge fans. The friend of my friend is my friend? I dunno.

*fallen asleep to whilst giggling, night after night, windows open and sound cranked, much to the chagrin of the entire neighboUrhood

hahahaha awesome. Cringe worthy and funny, I like it.

Seen Nekromantik 2? Think it edged it out past Cannibal Holocaust for me.

i am sure there were some strategically placed Purell wall dispensers ...

also ... i think this is the first music video where I don't even recall the song that was played ... wasn't even paying attention to the music.

BRIDE OF RE-ANIMATOR. Forgot how good these movies are. Jeffrey Combs is the finest over-actor of our times. Wish they'd make a 4th one, with Ash somehow involved. How hard would that rule????

Did anyone see the last two installments of Romero's Dead series, DIARY OF THE DEAD and SURVIVAL OF THE DEAD? I heard they sucked. Hard. Guess that series followed the Star Wars formula.........

I personally thought Diary of the Dead was great. Survival of the Dead was crap though

I consider myself a horror afficionado....and *I* dont even want to watch those movies.
Although....I might take Mr. Chaos' post to heart and give Diary a chance

ZOMBIELAND shits all over 28 Days Later. Fun fact.

Just watched DEAD ALIVE for the trillionth time, and it's still one of my top 10 movies ever. Not so much as a boring second in that one.

"That's my mother you're pissing on."

Zombieland was good, but it should have been much better. i was expecting more laughs and more gore. the bill murray part was of course brilliant, and there were other moments of brilliance, but i thought it squandered some of its potential.

What Neal said about Zombieland. Hugely wasted potential. Did I hear there was a sequel in the mix? I love some Emma Stone.
