Okay, this is brand new stuff for me. I just happened to check the website formerly known as maudlinofthewell.com and saw the news. At first I kept looking for the part where you say you're joking, and then I realised I'd been sent to a website called kayodot.net (which is tough to actually say aloud because you have to say dot twice). I was a bit shocked for a while. The things you miss when you can't remember your password because it's been so long since you last posted...
All in all, I'd say it's going to take some time to sink in. I'm sure I'll love the new music, but it'll take some time before I'm used to referring to the band as Kayo Dot. I'm very accepting of it though, because I can understand the reasoning behind the name change. Now I just need the new music so I can have a basis on which to create an idea of what exactly Kayo Dot is.
