How could UM improve?

I think overall UM is a very good forum way better than metal rules and metal.archives.

i think the only way to improve it is get rid of people who constantly say offensive things to start flame wars such as iron flames/cranberry and allwithinmymonster.

I think the board is amazing. This is by far the best board i've ever posted on.

My only criticism is sometimes the board is a bit slow.

I think the site is great, a great source of information. I have used it a lot of times for information about bands. There are however a few ways I think the site could improve even more.

I think the site could improve by having more reviews of bands which are sorted out alphabetically.

I also think that there should be more information about the origins of bands, maybe have a world map and click on a country to get a list of bands from that country.

I think the store should be advertised more and increase in size.

i disagree here, IF is just stating his un-popular opinions, and allwithinmymonster just has got a short temper, but everyone flames him first, he barely has to say anything.

plus you could always ignore these people if you don't like them.

I'd agree with Profanity, there could be more reviews. As for banning people like allwithinmymonster well, he's just being stupid but it livens the place up and it's entertaining. Someone like Cranberry on the other hand is different - he tries purposely to be as offensive to people like Lina as he can, that's pretty shit. Maybe people like that should be moderated more - people that ONLY seem to post to annoy people, and have nothing else to say.

Overall though, I think this is a great site, and there's not much room for improvement.

There's no need to ban people just because they're annoying. What makes UM very popular is the openness of everyone's thoughts and not be controlled by some power-monger control freak.

Perhaps, have contests or some kind of raffle for premium members to win concert tickets or prizes or somehow be aligned with metal record labels to help push more albums and have UM make money at the same time. (Or maybe that's already happened)

yeah i could your right but i dont like doing that but i will be doing that for cranberry at least. i think he's overstepped the marl. theres openess and theres racism and harassment. even if hes just being offensive to get a response he still should be banned. i know he would just pop up again but since he quite distinctive in his posting style he could be indetified and got rid off.

the site needs articles dealing isues within the metal scene. that would be very interesting to read
