Of course. He might have fucked his mother after a sunday prayer. It's questionable whether or not a "believer" goes to heaven when they die.
It's questionable whether or not a "believer" goes to heaven when they die.
:zombie: no shit sherlock. get the funk out of this thread.
The question was "why is it impossible for Heaven to not exist if it's questionable that Hell does?"
So, Dak; do you believe that there are possibly no objective, unavoidable consequences for those who engage in potentially "immoral" behavior?
But if it's questionable that Heaven and Hell exist, then how would "sinners" be punished? Maybe I'm misunderstanding you.
Revelation 20
11 Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat upon it, from whose presence earth and heaven fled away, and no place was found for them.
12 And I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and books were opened; and another book was opened, which is the book of life; and the dead were judged from the things which were written in the books, according to their deeds.
13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead which were in them; and they were judged, every one of them according to their deeds.
14Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire This is the second death, the lake of fire.
15And if anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.
It's argued that Hades should merely be translated as "the grave", something akin to "purgatory" (a holding area for souls), except nothing is mentioned in the Bible about being able to affect someone else's afterlife possibilities like the Catholic church suggests(to get more money out of people). It doesn't match up that anyone would get punished/rewarded prior to judgement.
So, you're not saying that Heaven and Hell don't exist. They just don't exist now.
Well, yeah. I mean, Dio's dead. It just wouldn't be the same with a different singer.
There are plenty of scriptures that possibly indicate also that people sent to the lake of fire, will not burn forever, but will actually be burned up. It's eternal punishment in the sense that the soul is gone forever, not that it is burning forever.
Well. That's a relief.
