How do you record onto computer?

oh yah....what ever you do....NEVER EVER EVER EVER plug your amp into your computer with a "speaker out". it will blow your soundcard up and possibly fry your fucking computer. if you are going to plug your amp into your computer...do it through the effects loop out.

I have some cheap Fender amp with no effects out. Oh, come to think of it, it has something called "foot switch". That sounds like it, right? You can tell how much I use my amp...

no man, that is not gonna do the trick....i'd recommend just getting a quality mic and plugging that into your computer....i dont really like recording direct anyway....it sounds too steril imo, a good mic is the way to go. you can get a good akg for proly 50 bucks or so...thats the way to go.
