How to change a woman's surname

Well then if she has a hassle by going to the bank etc. then she can go to the registry then. If she went to the registry 1st they would just take her money even if she doesn't need to officially go there.
Christ sake people you had a dig at me 1st and doughted my knowledge of course I am going to get my back up! I'm not gonna sit back and say OK fellas go right ahead!

Why did you take her name and tack it on yours, Brian? Why not just change your name to Fischer rather than Fischer-Giffin?

The combined names is symbolic of our combined lives now that we are married. And we put the Fischer- first because aesthetically it sounds better than Giffin-Fischer. Plus, we wanted to be plagued by people being unable to spell our names for the rest of our lives. :D

Belated response here, having been away from the PC for a few days....

Wenny and I did get married o/s, which makes me think that we will have to go through a bit of a formal process in some cases. Not to worry, we saved a lot of money by not getting hitched here in the first place. :)
