I agree with you Rayna. I liked the latest InFlames albums (STYA and CC), even if I really really like the older albums... it's a different sound, but I don't think it is a bad album. Although, when I want to listen to InFlames, I go with Colony, Clayman, Whoracle, the Jester Race or Reroute! :P

We have our own tastes mr. Chaos :)

Well, is it only me, or do you really sound like Tritonus? God Id swear its her with different nick. Just shut up, and read what he said, and if you dont understand it, then shut up even more. You said you liked the new IF, Soundtrack to your Escape, which was not the new album - so how stupid is that? Thats all he wanted to say.
 
On topic, Im with Tal here, Im worried, too, but not that much. I simply wont buy the new record, thats it. Theres plenty of great music to choose from anyway. Too bad DT has not been part of it for quite some time.
 
@KC: Yeah I know what ye mean, and belive me I know about both bands, what I meant to say that since COB's latest album was so terrible, it should've been like Kalmah's, a good death meatl album.

I never said that COB and Kalmah were the same, I know thier differences, thank you.

@Rayna: Don't listen to them, if ye like the album it's ok, I personally don't like it but don't let KC's or other people's opinion influence yer taste. I stopped making serious predictions about coming DT-albums back in 1999. Feel free to speculate as much as you want, but I really don't feel like discussing the next album beforeI have on my hands.

Anyways, for what it is worth, before Character came out I was silently hoping for a complete change in direction, as I thought DT had already treated the Haven/DD-path to the end. What happened was that Character turned out to be my favorite album of the decade. Despite its obvious similarity to DD (and Haven, to a lesser extent). At the moment, I don't think they can improve anymore from Character within this particular style - but it wouldn't be the first time they manage to surprise me.

In short, I will just wait and see. And I'm not worried, at all.

Seriously, I still get enjoy quality things in life (fine - even if it's someone's colon), but Kalmah and other "compassing" melo-death "genius" are on the other side.

It's admirable that this is perhaps the first time in 3 albums that new songs have sparked such a controversy, and so early. It doesn't matter that the art of taking oneself with a grain of humor is indeed completely lost on some: Dark Tranquillity are causing some debate amongst the fans due to their recent... err... lack of significant change?

If so, I'd say it's encouraging when it comes to the quality of the fans.
