Why dedicate posts and your name to putting down a band? I don't go around posting about how I don't like Christina Aguilera all over the place, I just don't listen. What is the point of continuously bringing up a band you don't like?
sure, all these pop bands and rap groups suck...but what REALLY sucks is that a good band was lost because they THOUGHT that metal was dead. that makes the whole genre look bad too..... it says to the world "metal is juvenile music, and pop ballads are so much more advanced and meaningful"

I agree that Metallica is worthless now, but why let it bother you so much? Is it really worth it to you? Does it make you feel good? Talking shit about anything never made me feel good, and I will not do it when I could spend my time constructively, thinking about/doing/saying things that make me happy. Just my opinion.

If you really want to pay out on a changed band, pay out on slipknot. And for all you ignorant fools out there, their first album was called 'Mate, Kill, Feed, Repeat', and they actually had a decent singer (not this new motherfucker that raps), and guess what? Decent guitar solos!!! If you are still ignorant, and want to pay out on me, go and download 'Gently' (There is two different slipknot songs that are called gently, it should start with a clean-tone guitar, so if you get a song that starts with noise, or is really bad, go and dl a different one), and then tell me that Slipknot was ALWAYS this bad. They actually used to be good guitarists too.

I don't like new Megadeth, i don't like DHIADW, i don't like new Iced Earth, I absolutely hate new Slayer, and the list goes on...! But i don't go wasting other people's time whinging about it.

I actually haven't still understood why people dislike Metallica so much. Is it because they changed their music or because they became so famous? Anathema for example have changed their music too and I don't like them anymore (or I am just too young to understand it) , but I hear noone being agaist them. For them it is an "evolution".

ha ha ha. I don't pay out of Anathema simply because they were always crap.
To be totally truthful, metallica have actually got some worthwhile material on load and reload (along with the really bad stuff, like ronnie for example! terrible!). If kirk hammett would 'Eat shit and die' I might actually retain some respect for metallica. Take 'the outlaw torn' for example, or 'untill it sleeps', they are damn good songs, hetfield is still a good guitarist and a good singer, but kirk hammett and his fucking Pentatonic scales and his fucking Wah pedal can go and suck monkey-penis!! (ouch!) Metallica only became 'less' when kirk hammett started playing rhythm guitar on the albums. If you look at 'justice', you will see that hetfield did everything, kirk only played solos. But on load and reload, he played, AND wrote rhythm parts.
Lars is actually a pretty good drummer these days... have a listen to S&M (sadism and masochism), especially battery... and you will see what i mean. He absolutely nails 'the outlaw torn' and 'bleeding me'. Same as hetfiled! But kirk fucks up everything, and doesn't even play half of the old solos, instead he just plays a pentatonic with a wah over it!!

Okay, let's put this in perspective...
Metallica was once a decent band, great for the genre, influential...but they were not the one of the better bands of the 80's by any stretch! Slayer killed them in almost every facet, but that's just my opinion. They stole most of the entire Kill 'em All LP from Diamond Head and Motorhead.
Overrated? Possibly. Sellouts? Indeed, but the metal community has done its best to ignore that even still exist. I suggest you do likewise. They aren't worth the effort.
