Mikael mentioned in the other thread that Lopez has recently suffered from a panic attack breakdown. Do any of you think that it's drug-related? Not of course that's any of my business, but I think it's okay just to speculate.

It definitely could be, who knows, Im sure that could be part of it, but I personally think that is none of my business, so Im just going to leave it at that.
True, this is none of our business, and I hope that it isn't....but it is very possible. An old hippie friend of mine developed a heart problem and had attacks (combination of medical and psychological reasons). I think they'd just be considered anxiety attacks, but if not, they were very close. He had to go have all kinds of tests done and everything. The high level of THC (in the blood??) was a huge factor.

It is very possible that this episode that he experienced could have been caused by a substance, or maybe it could be due to there extensive touring but at any rate I wish him a speedy recovery.

just going by what they have said Mike and Peter only drink....but I get the feeling the martins enjoy some sweet leaf on occasion...though isn't it very difficult to get in sweden?
lots of things can cause panic attacks though, drugs or not. I have a friend that was just under incredible stress and had some bad things happen in her life and she just had a breakdown. I'm sure excessive touring, lack of sleep and stuff we don't even know about could cause issues like that.

Well Martin's native country is nowhere near Sweden so I don't think the touring has got him alone but a combination of things might. Doesn't seem like the kinda guy to get tired of moving around the world for music interests. Well shit. Now that I think about it I always did see Lopez in some kinda drunken / stoned / trashed state before the shows. He was least friendly too but I wish em a fast recovery anyway!

It's definately possible... from my own experience I would say it's more likely the combination of personal problems, stress, exhaustion, etc. along with drugs. I myself have had very dark experiences on drugs, however only when I was under a lot of stress to begin with... as everyone else has said though it is none of my business and I completely respect his privacy to do what he pleases with his life, just as I do with my own life.

I think that pot would only do a lot of damage if he had problems to begin with. If he was taking it to relieve stress, he could have built a dependency on it. Whatever the situation, I wish the best for Martin. I apologize if I don't understand what's going on for him.
I just wish him to get well soon.... . He's 25% of the best thing to have ever graced this planet!!!
