FUUUUUUCK!!!! :zombie: I am such an idiot!

I accidentally turned it on, while there wasn´t a connection to the cab. Amp is dead! Now my question, can I ask a conventional electrician to repair it, or will there be special Krank elements/parts needed?

Again...FUCK!!! :zombie:

i guess youll only have to change poweramp tubes, its not that expensive.

well if youd be overherein hamburg id send you to justmusic, changing my tubes on diezel einstein (only 2 poweramp tubes) cost about 30 euros ;-)
but thats because my guitarplayer works there, hehe. i guess it wont be a big deal changing tubes. you could actually do it yourself, but if you've never done it before i wouldnt recommend ;-)

What do you mean by "amp is dead"?
Does it switch on? I mean, do you see any led turning on or tube filaments get heated?

Stupid question: could it be just a blown fuse? Did you check that?

If there is no power to the amp at all (ie power indicators not lighting up) changing the power tubes will do nothing sounds like a fuse there may be some internal fuses blown

did you turn on your amp with a cable connected and no cab or did you just turn on the krank without a connected cable ?
makes a huge difference (at least for diezels...) - i guess there its a blown fuse then that protected the tubes. that would be the cheapest alternative ;-)

id recommend get that thing to an amp doctor. i guess we cant really help from where we are.

I´m a goddamn idiot, this really annoys me to death  That´s the first time this happens to me - AND THE LAST TIME!

Nah, happens to everyone at least once! :D And at least you aren't the dude that plugged his JCM800's speaker out to his computer's integrated sound card's line in... He got that big BOOM.

Anyway, really sorry to hear about it, hope you get it fixed without paying an arm and a leg!

If it costs too much to fix I am interested in buying it as it is. But really hope you fix it.
