I just mixed pure hatred at 250 bpm. BROOTZ (5150, Krank Rev)

This mix isn't bad at all. :)

I hear a lot of clipping though and at some parts the vocals seem to be a bit too loud.

Sick work, as always, Olli.
Only thing, that comes to mind on first listen: I'd take down the OH's a bit, they're a bit ear fatiguing to me.

Clipping is because of ozone on the 2nd bus, this is getting mastered by lasse anyway so that's not to be mentioned. OH's are indeed loud, I was experimenting with that and it seems I've overdone it a little. Thanks guys!

I would usually use verb to make things "wet". I just never used it on a kick and can't imagine it would help with such fast kick patterns.

I'm a bit pessimistic about using verb on a kickdrum in metal and never tried. I'll give this a go! Anyone doing this all the time?

The vocals are sitting on top of the music. They need to be seated nicely into the mix. Not on monitors so I can only suggest cutting some midrange, compressing a little more and automating. Or just turn them down a bit maybe?

Kick is way too loud - put it in mono and its probably all kick and vocals. Solid other than that though!

hm...I think vocals and kick stick out pretty weird from the rest of the mix, I think its due to beeing brighter in general...
not a huge fan of the sound of the kick and the guitars...
dunno, I definitely heared better work from you man...it's a bit unexciting :/

Hmm the mix sounds a bit thinner to me...And less glued

Do you have a roommic out for the programmed drums? try to compress it and blend it in. maybe with the automation advice of tommy Evans.

Here's an update but I'm not sure if it's for the better or worse. Give it a shot, I think I need to take a rest for a day or two from this mix :)

I like that one better!
You could take out some high end from the kick tho imo, I think there's some stuff up there you don't really need for the kick..
Also work the bass a bit more in there and you're like almost there!

sure!? I though it was worse :D

Oh and Charles... these are not programmed drums :D I mean... it's not a natural sound kit but it's obviously not programmed.

Yeah, dry was probably not the best way of putting it:D
Like Mago said, there is something in the high end of it that is not sitting well at all.
