I didn't even bother to read that...
Star wars episode I was hideous... so i'm not even going to see II.
They have ruined it, and should have left it AS IS.
Same thing with star trek... after TNG, they should have left it alone.
Same with LEXX... series four is a waste of such talented writing and actors...

Ugh, Voyager is awful. Every episode is interesting for 20 minutes, then 40 minutes of filler. The writers were too damn lazy. Deep Space Nine got interesting in about season 4 or 5, but still had too many "holodeck" episodes.
Episode I had some bad points, but I think it's funny that everyone complaints about the bad acting. The original trilogy had really bad acting, too. And C3P0 was almost as annoying, if not as annoying, as Jar Jar. I think people just expected too much from it; it was only meant to set up things for later episodes, and in that it succeeded. I've already got tickets for Episode 2 for Thurs, Fri, and Sat. Regardless of acting or anything, those battle scenes will be amazing. And Jango Fett is just plain cool.

STAR WARS Let's see, how could I possible insult as many fanatics as possible, ok, I give it a try:
I hate Star Wars, Star Trek, Babylon 5 with a passion. Also I don't think LEXX the series was even nearly as good as the original 4 movies mini-series, even if it did have a hotter girl.
What comes to Episode II, I knew it was gonna suck after I saw Episodes IV-VI, not that those 3 ever came close to the horror of Episode I.

...but you are not a jedi yet. What you failed to mention was that Ebert's cohort (Roper?) gave it the exact opposite review, saying it was nearly perfect. And who else is supposed to write Star Wars movies other than the man who created the entire saga? Who did you expect, James Cameron? Get real little boy. This movie rocks. The first 52 minutes or so is political plot development...the rest of the movie is action packed and cinematically amazing. It seems like ripping anything that is "new" is the "in thing" over the past few years. Just enjoy Star Wars for what it is....a sci fi saga that is beyond entertaining and fun....not an acting gem.

PS: LEXX was never good to begin with. It is and was a poor excuse for a commentary on sexual behavior. Fill the space with more Farscape, a real show.

yea usually ebert has stupid reviews and rates movies that are good, bad. im seeing it thursday so i will decide then.
Also has anyone seen the show "Hot Ticket"? What a sad show this is. they have film critics on there that dont even know what the hell they are talking about. they both rated star wars bad. this movie looks awesome and im sure it will be good.

well, those commercials don't do justice for the movie. the battles are fucking exhilerating as hell! as well, seeing 50 jedi's whip out their light sabers and battle hundreds of droids is a godly sight. more so is seeing a war in almost all CG between literally hundreds of thousands of clones(later storm troopers i assume) and droids is fucking insane too.
just read my post about the movie.
I'm more anxious to see the next Lord of the Rings movie than I am star Wars Episode 2. The story looks quite stupid, but I'll probably go and watch it sooner or later.
