For the last 5 years Squeaker has been a squirrel that has lived with us. She fell out of a tree in the backyard and was orphaned by her mother and raised by hand. She passed away from a hypoglycemic episode Friday. She was more than just a pet, she was my friend. She knew her name and would come when called. She loved to ride in the car and go to the lake. Her favorite snacks were pancakes, animal crackers and cheerios. She lived in her own little 3 story condo in our livingroom. She would always stop and listen to anyone and she loved everyone, unconditionally. We laid her to rest in the back yard in the very spot under the tree where she landed 5 years ago. I will miss my friend.
