(I think...maybe my short term memory is going...)

BUT ANYWAY

what is the DEAL with the Indian nickels!? COMMEMORATING the LOUISIANA PURCHASE?!

2004_Louisiana_Purchase_Peace_Medal.gif

The design, by United States Mint sculptor/engraver Norman E. Nemeth, features two hands clasped in friendship - one with a military uniform cuff, symbolizing the American government, and the other with a silver band adorned with beads and a stylized American eagle, representing the Native American community with whom the United States sought good relations.

uhhhhhh

french, native american? what's the difference.

The day a Kosovo coin comes out of the independant state of Kosovo commemorating the good relations between Serbs and Albanians, I'm moving back to Jersey.

That is so amazing. I think FDR's head should be on the other side, that would rule.

No, Jefferson's head would make sense since he was involved with the Louisiana Purchase (although the tomahawk idea is good).

Oh! It could say I LIKE IKE! below a picture of Coolidge! Best. Coin. Ever.

i like the idea of a dollar coin, but sacajawea was so unimportant compared to so many old white men it was really painfully obvious that they were just trying to kill the Indian and the Woman birds with the same stone regardless of what kind of nobody she was.

It was Taft, due to his tremendous girth, he owns the honor of fattest president and therefore, the most American President ever as he best represented us as a people.
