If you could go to any concert in the past...

Morbid Angel/At The Gates/Dissection in the states in 95/96 or whenever it was.

Dimmu Borgir/In Flames/Dissection/Cradle of filth all at their peak in 1997 would also have been cool.

I drove to Chicago from Minneapolis for this show. What a great time. We spent the night in WI with a friend the night prior. I ended up hammered and running through the woods while screaming at the moon...until I tripped and collided with a tree. I couldn't move my right arm without horrible pain for a couple of days, but FUCK what a great trip!!! I also think I threatened to disembowel my friends parents...but that could have been a different trip.

As for a concert...there are many but the first that comes to mind would be Edge of Sanity...probably Unorthodox era. :headbang:

Dissection/Watain (on Dissection's last tour)
Insision/Decapitated (on their British tour together)
Maze of Torment/Lethal/Corrupt (in Umeå this past spring)
Death (around the time Human of ITP was released)
Deströyer 666 (anytime, anywhere)

Time travel to ANY show? Why stick with only metal shows then?

Jimi Hendrix - Isle of White
Ozzy Osbourne - Blizzard of Ozz tour (featuring Randy Rhoads)
The Who - Live at Leeds (with Keith Moon)
Janis Joplin - anything during the Haight Asbury era
The Beatles - any show during the Revolver era (and onwards)
Motorhead - where they recorded the No Sleep 'till Hammersmith show
Judas Priest - the Unleashed in the East show, kicking off with Exciter

Fuck it, I'd go to Woodstock too.

Iron Maiden - World Slavery Tour (at Long Beach Arena) = no brainer, put this at #1.

Death In June / Current 93 / Sol Invictus, circa 1991

Approximately the era when all three of But, What Ends When The Symbols Shatter, Thunder Perfect Mind, and Lex Talionis were unleashed upon the world.

for single bands though, it would be pretty wild to see Fields of the Nephilim circa 1989, or Laibach touring for Opus Dei.

and naturally, an early Agalloch show from around Pale Folklore or Of Wind Stone and Pillor would be pretty awesome.

The Ocean - every show I've ever witnessed
Godspeed You! Black Emperor - any
Breach - any
Dälek - Absence tour (again)
Metallica - And Justice for all... tour
Megadeth - Between SFSGSW/ Peace Sells and Rust In Peace tour
A Silver Mount Zion - Born.. tour
Botch - We Are the Romans tour
Don Caballero - What Burns never Returns tour
Dead Can Dance - Between Within.. and Aion tour
Neurosis - Enemy of the Sun/Through Silver in Blood tour
King Crimson - Between Larks Tongue and Red
In the Woods... - any
Mogwai - Young Team tour
Tortoise - Millions Now Living Will Never Die tour

I'm pretty sure Agalloch didn't play live before The Mantle.

I'd definitely like to have seen In The Woods... live. I suppose their last ever show would have been as good one, although I never listen to that "Live..." at album

There are tons, especially if i consider the amount of 70s bands i'd like to see on their prime, but these are the main ones:
Random Queensryche show of "Empire" or "Promised Land" tour. The first one wins because of the Livecrime show, the second wins because songs from "Promised Land" and a general theatrical performance would be included. Also i'd love to catch a date of the unbelievable tour that Saviour Machine, Soul Cages and Veni Domine did together. And of course...Woodstock.
