If you could go to any concert in the past...

It's interesting because I'm reading through this thread and seeing stuff like Maiden in the 80's or Clash of the Titans or Queensryche on the Empire tour....and I've seen most of it.

I guess what's interesting is that if you were lucky to be into metal in the 80's, chances are you saw all these legendary tours.

Furthermore, folks not having seen Hammers with Scalzi, or Agalloch yet, or any other modern cult band.....what have you been waiting for? These bands come and go and the drop of a hat!! Even I've seen these folks, and I'm an old fart. You young un's need to move away from places like Utah and Kansas, and move to somewhere more civilized like NYC, Chicago, or Baghdad.

Its a deal of money right now... I am saving up to be back in Philly by early next year. Hopefully I can arrange this, and then I'll be in 2-3 hour driving distance of several major venues.

Also, the problem with a lot of the modern cult bands, the 21+ fad that is sweeping the nation. Sometimes I get lucky and am able to get in, but I won't even bother to try if its not within 50 miles of me. The amount that Slough Feg plays 21+, I'm lucky I have been able to see them twice.

Was so excited when I turned 18, cause I thought to myself "YEAH! Can get into all those 18+ shows now!". Sadly, the only one I've seen is Heathen Crusade. 18+ doesn't even exist anymore.

2 more years though, and then my concert going will be so much easier.

I had one for a while, but it was only Age 19, so I could buy smokes in Utah (have to be 19 to buy smokes, but 18 to smoke them in this fucked up state).

I made it myself, and it was really shitty looking, and only used it at the gas station.

I really dunno where to find a Fake ID around here. Or anywhere.
