If you could go to any concert in the past...

I'd go to the last In The Woods... Show, a Dissection show of somesort, Frank Zappa in the late 70's/early 80's, Sanctuary show of some sort, or Day Of The Equinox.

I wish I went to DOTE 2005, I don't know why i backed out, a Godspeed You! Black Emperor show, a My Bloody Valentine show and the mono/world's end girlfriend/grails show a few months ago

Godspeed you! Black Emperor- Any
AFI- Black Sails in the Sunset Tour
The Smiths circa 1985
Dead can dance- Late Eighties
Bauhaus- Early Eighties
Dissection- I think I'd settle for any show

Any of the shows that have a bunch of Old School Death Metal bands.

Doom or Be Doomed :(

But this Warning and Pagan Altar show is absolutely fantastic, and should be a one of these in the future. I'll be there too :kickass:

I'd also like to see Clash of The Titans again. I made the mistake of leaving right after Anthrax finished because I had already seen Megadeth on an earlier tour and my girlfriend wouldn't stop complaining. Alice In Chains followed by Slayer...that was two of the best hours (or so) of my life. I never would have thought that I'd see AIC outplay the gods, but I did.

for those of you wishing to have seen DEATH back in the days ... someone just uploaded some great live tracks on You Tube ...

http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=death+seansitka&search=Search

this is a good idea how nuts the scene was back in the days ... none of this folded arm wonder of today

as far as for me ... I've been to a gazillion shows ...
would like to have seen Celtic Frost though ... To Mega Therion days ... as well as early Metallica gigs.

Oh yeah... Hammers of Misfortune Previous of Scalzi's leaving. Can't forget that.

It's interesting because I'm reading through this thread and seeing stuff like Maiden in the 80's or Clash of the Titans or Queensryche on the Empire tour....and I've seen most of it.

I guess what's interesting is that if you were lucky to be into metal in the 80's, chances are you saw all these legendary tours.

Furthermore, folks not having seen Hammers with Scalzi, or Agalloch yet, or any other modern cult band.....what have you been waiting for? These bands come and go and the drop of a hat!! Even I've seen these folks, and I'm an old fart. You young un's need to move away from places like Utah and Kansas, and move to somewhere more civilized like NYC, Chicago, or Baghdad.

i live right outside the 3rd or 4th largest city in the US. youd think "exclusive" tours would move through here now and again.

nope.

Am I the only one that would like to go to Nirvana's Unplugged concert? I might be alone on this with Nad gone these days. :loco:

That, and Alice in Chains unplugged - that show was fucking awesome.

I'd loved to have seen Genesis with Gabriel, Floyd, Skid Row, Metallica Justice tour or before.. and well, the Stunning Cunts show was good, so that too.. Kyuss, The Beatles, The Who, Van Der Graaf Generator, Simon & Garfunkel, Caravan, Godspeed You Black Emporer.. man there'd be tons if I could be arsed thinking about it.

But still, The Doors is number 1.

Awesome list Disgustipated...exact dates for the first two would be the Lamb and Animals tours. Others would be Maiden at any point during 83-88, Sabbath in 1975, King Crimson right before either of their long hiatuses, Clash of the Titans, Zappa at any point in his career (preferably one of the legendary Halloween NYC shows), and of course all the festivals and RC gatherings I've missed...

If I could go to any concert in the past?

- Black Sabbath original lineup
- Heathen Crusade 1 and 2
- any Kyuss show, preferably in the desert
- some Darkthrone gig
- if Bathory ever even played live a single time
