My job especially sucks right now. Take one background check. It's going to have an average of 3 past/current employers to call and/or fax to obtain verification from, 2 schools to call and/or fax to obtain verification from, criminal records that will have to be ordered, and various emails to obtain any additional information needed to process any portion of the case. All steps taken for anything have to be typed into the case. And after you have it started, be ready to backtrack anytime later when you receive a response to a verification, so you can put that info into the case. Also, all of these steps must be repeated on each case every day until it is complete.
So there's one case. The normal caseload which keeps even the most diligent busy is about 65 cases on their list at any given time.
With all the people that have quit recently plus the new client my department has foolishly taken on, those of us that are left are all overloaded. At any given time since last week I've had 200 cases. TWO HUNDRED. Now think about all those steps I just stated above. Times 200. Sure I'm completing 50 or more cases a day, but for every case I complete, I suddenly have 5 new cases on my list to start.
I haven't been taking my breaks, including my lunch breaks. My hands shake by the time I leave for the day since I have to type non-stop, and my spleen feels enlarged
Samamfa come kidnap me from there
