In Flames - Come Clarity

I don't think anyone is going to put a gun to your head for liking what you do. Criticizing someone for his or her taste in music is childish. I happen to listen to a lot of Japanese pop and rock music these days. If anyone wants to denounce me for my taste then my question is, "Who the fuck are you to make such acerbic remarks?" Chances are I'd probably catch some remarks like this from some pathetic mallgoth or snot-nosed metalhead who someone with some type of inferiority complex 'cause you come to an age where you realize that calling someone a fag over taste in music about the lamest thing you could possibly do and you just learn to not give a shit. I've seen people on this board make smart ass comments to other forumites about their musical taste and I just shake my head in disbelief at how stupid some of this trash is. Heh, granted some of it's funny but for the most part it's useless flamming and I guess it'd be nice if some of these dipshits were taken down a peg. Ah well...fuck all this writing. I'm going to jump on the hub and see if I can find this new In Flames album.
ok you do that:rock:

hey are we actually allowed to say fuck in here? :OMG: nice.
I think that anyone who look down on anyone over anything is like stupid and stuff, and I look down on those people... oh wait...

anyways, I'm probably getting the entire In Flames discography for christmas so I'll get back to on how I like the new stuff in january (yeah like you give a flyin fuck how I feel about In Flames)

You are a man apart buddy. Right on.

Anyways, in my opinion( many metalheads I know out there all agree), The Jester Race is In Flames's best work. Hands down. Whoracle is a solid album as well. Clayman, claymon rocks because of songs like Ordinary Story. These days, Anders and the gang are going a bit toooo hybrid.

I love Whoracle because of Gyroscope and Jester's Script Transfigured. Awesome stuff.

God I love metal.

Well...do you mean Colony or Clayman...because Ordinary Story is track 2 on Colony...unless you mean Only for the Weak off Clayman (only track starting with O)???

I'm not too big of an In Flames fan, I only own whoracle, and heard a couple other songs. but didnt they have a song that was just a female singer, I think my friend let me borrow one of their earlier cds and that's where I heard it

Horrible album. Gay band.

I've also seen you ditching Soilwork. And now In Flames.

It seems to me you're a bitter asshole that doesn't have any reasoning behind his statements.

The album was quite good. It's a bit better than STYE but not as good as Reroute To Remain. And of course it cannot be compared to the amazing Colony and Clayman. However I believe it's still quite original and as stated in previous posts, it is a weird mix of old and new In Flames elements which gives something quite pleasant to the ear. A bit too chaotic at points though. They've went overboard with the drums on this one it seems.

Also very surprised at "Dead End" 's female vocals. Pleasantly so :)

I'm probably the only person that thinks STYE is better than Come Clarity... I think In Flames have gone further into the void, and sound like a mixture of As I Lay Dying, and those generic Ferret music bands. It sucks pretty bad but I'll probably buy it anyway cause I bought all the others. -_- I hate unfinished collections.

Heh, thanks for the compliment but (I hate to sound like a broken record) I think TJR is probably one of In Flames weakest albums. I just don't get what the obsession is all about. I mean the album sounds incredibly weak and the songs just don't garner my attention. The album just seems so lifeless. I still think that In Flames best effort were Lunar Strain and Subterranean. I even think Clayman and even RtR are better albums than TJR. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think Ordinary Story is on Colony. Anywho, I would just like to say I've heard the new In Flames album and while I was far from impressed I do think it's a huge improvement over their last effort. I like Anders vocals on some of the older In Flames albums but I really think he should be replaced. His vocals just sound so weak now. His clean vocals on the album were the worst I've heard, yet. Granted I haven't listened to the album but twice all the way though but IMO I think he needs to go. Anders was never a Michael Akerfeldt but at least his clean vocals didn't annoy me to the point of frustration and usually his harsher vocals were competent enough to be enjoyable.

I'm guessing you're refering to the song Everlost Pt II from Lunar Strain. You should listen to Lunar Strain and Subterranean in consecutive order. I think it'd be worth your time. Biosphere off of Subterranean is one of the coolest In Flames songs I've ever heard. It's got to be my favorite song if not my 2nd favorite just falling shortly behind The Jester's Script Transfigured.
