a while ago i was reading some religious thing online just to challenge my knowledge, and anyway... i was tired.... and every time i right clicked on a link to 'open in new window' i read it as "Opeth in new window" automatically without even thinking.... and every time i read the word "satan" I initially read it as "satori", it was very weird... 
so the point is satori doesnt look much like satan, which seems to be what ive come to think of him as!!

The monk is non-theist, and satan is anti-theist, and I'm a bit of both
That's the rumour I've heard too. Actually, it means "instance of non-awareness", it's a flash of nothingness which occurs during meditation which feels like.. well, nothing! Buddhist meditation is done for one purpose and only one purpose - to slow conscious thought and hinder self-awareness to the point that the individual has a "direct" experience of reality which isn't first filtered through the typical discriminatory and dualistic waking mindset. A satori is a brief instance of nothingness in which perception itself (and thus the ego which is the root of perception) is halted and then restarted... kinda like passing out and then waking up a half second later. No one has ever truly felt a satori just like no one has truly felt what it's like to be dead, what they do feel is the waking up afterwards. A satori is a kind of death, or as I would say, death of "self" and reawakening to the "self" of the universe. It's weird. It's also good clean wholesome sacreligious fun, muwahaha.
