is alexi into a "top of best guitarrists of the world"?

I think yngwie sounds like he's exercising at home. not really any plan in his music, it sounds pointless and emotionless to me...

nothing to complain abut his technique tho, and his personality is nothing to discuss either  , but his music seems simply dead to me.

just my two cent...

thank you to all who answered me.

im not a guitar player and i dont know much about guitars and guitarrists, only i have curiosity for this lists.

i know, this list isn't true, but can be a reference, though i supose which all the lists arent goods, but sure there are good ones.

but all this is relative and is better if each one have his preferences

Yup', doing list of "best guitarist" is a bit like putting a style for each and every band. You end up with something like "melodic-death-power-heavymetal, 2 teaspoonfuls of black and a bit of trash" for COB, or to sum up something which doesn't mean anything :p

As a guitarist (well, beginner^^ 1 year & a few months), I know I like technical stuff, so I think a "best guitarist list" can be usefull for me to find other technical stuff, cuz' I think this kind of list is more based on the technic than the writing skills. Then again, maybe 90% of the music I would have find may fit my taste, even if its very technical.

I never get why Cobain is on those lists. I mean, I used to listen to Nirvana. They used to be my favorite band.

Then I met my good friend metal.

Anyway, he's not really that talented... I don't hate it now, but ... reeeeeallly, the songs are pretty lame now that I think back.

Eric Clapton rocks, though. Slow handed, who gives? Derek and the Dominos kicks ass. Layla is one of my top 3 favorite songs of all time.. oh yeah man.

slow hand is just his nickname. he never was the fastest and always had his guitar quite in his knees, way deeper than anyone else...

love him too!!!

@devil; still didn't get you... could you explain your last sentence again?

you like dream theater? petrucci is technically pretty sure one of the best, but he can get really confusing in his song arrangement. let's see how far your love to technical music goes... ;)

Whoops, I forgot a word...
I wanted to say "Then again, maybe 90% of the (techinical) music I would have find (thanks to this kind of list) may NOT fit my taste, even if its very technical."
