It's not the best movie ever, but as a Scotsman I gotta love it! I remember all the pubs showed it before Scotland played England in a football game a few years ago. It got everyone pumped up and dying to beat the English. Needless to say, I don't think we did (I can't remember I was pished).

Nah, Braveheart IS an excellent film, but there's no way it can be considered the greatest film of all time. In my opinion, that title goes to "The Godfather" or possibly "Casablanca." For some reason, I've enjoyed all of Kevin Smith's movies, even "Mallrats," despite the fact that Kevin Smith even apologized for it at the Cannes Film Festival. I also have a thing for Jason Lee though, so the movie might've sucked without him, I dunno. Still, "A Guy Thing" was awful, not even Jason Lee could make up for that piece of shit...
One cannot consider the greatest film of all time without considering Stanley Kubrick, otherwise its like a cake with no icing. I like Braveheart as a movie, however I see it as being a good movie, far from a great movie and definately not a masterpiece.
