Is Lamb of God good enough to stay through fear factory?

Haha now that I read all your posts I feel so lucky! Because I left right after Bodom played, met the crew, hung out back there, missed the whole fear factory show and then came back just in time for LOG. So...........if you want a way of not seeing FF and staying for LOG , there you go!

lamb of god are ok. fear factory are shit. throwdown are shit. i will simply leave or just do something else during fear factory, i might watch some of the mosh pits at lamb of god and maybe be in one... and by the way, lamb of god isn't very technical at all, its fucking easy to play and very generic and is simply just

100-----104---100
100-----104---100
100-000-104-00100

You have no clue what your talking about. That's a tab from a nu metal song or something, Try playing a Lamb of God song at full speed without your right hand exploding. Lamb of God is the only "metal-core" band on this earth that is any good. I do agree very much, throwdown and fear factory are shit.

I personally never saw much in LoG. They're as boring as fuck. If I want technical, there are a hell lot of other bands I can listen to that don't bore me. I'll give them another chance in the future, but I'm not going to be listening to them anytime soon.

And FF obviously sucks. I am dying to see Bodom again, but if they're opening with just a short 45 minute set, then I might as well spend tickets on Megadeth/Exodus instead.

I would like to know why FF is hated so much.
Because thier music gets boring VERY FAST. I went to the show and actually saw Fear Factory (With no prior knowledge of them), and after the first two songs i got bored. The had the same riffs, and the vocals...were very close to rap metal, sad to say, and it it surprised me too. I clearly remember not hearing a single solo, nor lead part in anyone of the songs they played that night. Now that's not the say they don't have any lead parts...but it shows a lot about a band if they choose not to play those songs live.
So now my question to you is....why do you think Fear Factory is good?

The only good about Fear Factory is that Bryon Stroud (Strapping Young Lad) is their bassist. SYL = \m/.

actually what i tabbed out is a riff from ruin and that is essentially the whole song, they are generic, all in the same tuning, all sound the same, very boring, very easy to play, most of the songs sound the same. it seems you are the fucking moron.

I actually knew a lot of Lamb of God's songs prior to going to the show at San Fransisco, but the PA was so fucking trashed I couldnt hear shit. It sounded terrible. Bodom sounded 110% better. I wish I would have left and tried to meet them as opposed to staying through those 2 very shitty bands.

Oh I expected this kind of elitist view. "No solos they suck." Yup. I understand why Bodom fans get made fun of so much now.

Personally I like the philosophy of the band. They are all about future machines taking over the world and shit, and so they write their music in a robotic way (i.e. lots of chugging). And I have no fucking clue what you meant by rap metal, that's fucking ridiculous. Burton is a great vocalist.

Oh well different taste, some people are more open to music therefore can enjoy more.

I didn't think my responce came off like that. If i was so hell bent for solos, i don't think Lamb of God would be a band i would like, considering thier albums aren't exactly swimming with solos. Its just the variety they offer as opposed to a band like Fear Factory...but this is a Children of Bodom board, we can talk about this elsewhere.

I enjoyed Lamb of God when I saw them, they had some good songs and some that weren't so good.... I can't get into Fear Factory's music.... whether they have talent or not.... they aren't my thing. Throwdown was just terrible and really boring. Children of Bodom were awesome, its too bad they didn't have a longer set though.

get a clue, kid.

you didn't tab that riff. you copy/pasted it from a crappy tab off of mxtabs and it's only part of the beginning and the chorus.

the tuning doesn't matter:rolleyes:

if it's so easy, grab your guitar and post an mp3 of you playing laid to rest. it's tabbed in the new guitar world.
