Is Lamb of God good enough to stay through fear factory?

oh noes, they have one song that isn't simple generic chords, thier toughest song is probably as the palaces burn, and even that isn't brutally difficult. they are boring. all the songs sound the same live. the only redeeming thing is that thier singer runs around and shit. other than that, they are shit live. decent on record. face it, lamb of god aren't special, they arne't shit, but they sure as hell aren't special or amazing.

i maybe could if i tried learning it, but why would i waste my time with it? i've heard As The Palaces Burn and some of the new one, so i'm not just guessing. they aren't shit, but they aren't worth any praise at all either, they are boring, generic, easy, and just plain old not worth noting. they do nothing different or revolutionary, how many times do i have to hammer this into your fucking skull?

dude, you don't know what you're talking about. they've been doing this since you've been shitting in your diapers and long before this style was remotely popular. do some research. the only reason they sound "generic" is because of all the other bands copping part of their sound and becoming popular before them.

Well, I had never heard any of the bands at the show last night (including Children of Bodom), and I sadly arrived 15 minutes late, so I missed the first four Bodom songs, but the ones that I heard I thought were awesome. I thought it was sad that they were only given half of the stage. Anyway, they gained a new fan (I picked up Follow the Reaper today, and a shirt last night).

I also stayed for Fear Factory and Lamb of God... I had fun during both, but I could tell that I would not listen to them otherwise. All of their songs did sound very much alike, but LoG did sound better than FF to me. Better riffing and whatnot. I met a guy today that was at the show last night too, and I agree with what he said: Children of Bodom stole the show.

NOTE: This was my first 'metal' concert, so I have nothing to compare this against.

Exactly, they started in '94 i believe, they just played what they liked because all you could buy at the time was shitty pop cds (at a store such as Target). They were Burn The Priest back in the day, they never expected to be this popular, because metal was dying in the early 90's. Now it is all popular again, so if you think that they are so damn generic listen to the burn the priest cd and tell me what you know of that sounded like that in '94.

i had never really listened to Lamb of God (except for 11th Hour) before the show and i thought they were pretty good. i mean not the best band ever or anything, but i enjoyed it.

Whoever posted the "harder" tab should remember that there are 2 guitarists in numetal bands for precisely that reason. One to play the stuff on the E string, the other to play the stuff on the other strings. That is, of course, if they actually play anything on the other strings.
