Israel's military actions justified?

Norsemaiden said:
Israel must really want Syria and Iran to be drawn into this, and that is why they are attacking Lebanon so brutally. Then there will be war on Syria and Iran, with USA joining in.

That's the only way we get the Final War, and then the Rapture as it is promised in the Bible. You should support this apocalyptic, world-destroying, wasteland-inducing war. Don't you want to go to Heaven?

I've just been told that 8 Canadians have just been killed by Israel in Lebanon.

Sadly this is True. They were massacred, along with several other innocent Lebanese people. The Israelis attacked a building that was sheltering them, this building is in the region of Tyr, it belongs to the Lebanese army and has nothing to do with Hezbollah.
There were also Americans in this building but none died, one American woman was heard on TV cursing Israel.
Anyhows. the madness continues.

The Bringer said:
I can see it happening 100%. Israel has already tried blaming Iran for having troops in Lebanon even though Iran has had no such presence anytime in the last 15 years.

Hezbollah is supported by Syria and more than likely by Iran. Hezbollah also shares common goals with Syria and Iran, holding those goals as primary before even Lebanese nationalism. In that sense they are "troops" for Iran and Syria. Israel's overreaction to the kidnappings has now seemed to solidify into the goal of removing Hezbollah from Lebanon and forcing the Lebanese goverment into doing the same. I can only hope they succeed for the good of the region, because it seems the conflict has gone so far there is no turning back for either side. Nobody wants another civil war, although Hezbollah may have done these kidnappings on the chance of that happening.

We know Israel has nukes.

Iran better work toward that goal.

Too many people are now using the word Nukes, I thought of it first so lay off, find your own words.... like shoe bomber or anthrax or whatever. Cmon people you really arent taking all of this media bollocks seriously are you?..............Its always the same it goes round and round in circles and its always the end of the world is nigh.... its all bollocks do any of you really believe Bush, putin or any other leaders believe there are big problems around the corner? If there was then it would have been sorted long before now. all you have going on here is the usual Chest beating bollocks that is never ending... sure some get killed but theres more people dying crossing the road.
and Todays News.....the british are evacuating british citizens from Beirut... wow... thats a new one....yawn.

Israel - European-style state, First world, hate Arabs
Arabia - Middle Eastern-style state, neo-Third World, hate Jews

That's the lines drawn for this battle.

It has been inevitable for 3,400 years.

How do you know Iran has nukes? Because CNN and Fox News said so? They also said Iraq had nukes and not a single one was found.

My bad i ment India and no one ever said that Iraq had nukes.

The Hubster said:
I totally agree. I know it sounds terrible, and as much as I hate war I must admit that sometimes I think it would be better if both parties simply wiped each other off the face of the earth so they can just get it over and done with.

And this is a bad thing? I dont see elimination of Christianity as a bad thing. A world with various ethnic pagan religions at the top of the food chain would be a much friendlier & loving place than that of a world ruled by the sickening conservative and capitalist arm of Christianity. Only problem is, our society on this earth has been corrupted by power and greed.

Don't be blinded by the media and woollen blanket of conservativism that Christianity hides behind in the current day: it has been, still is and continues to be far more brutal and dangerous than any force on this planet.

Craftiness and manupilative tactics within modern day society only proves how disgusting organised religion is, with Christianity at the top of that spire.

Note: I dont condone the death of anyone but a crminal/murderer/etc. I totally condone death of organised religion though, it will save more lives than destroy.

PS - glad to be back Norsemaiden:)

I couldnt give a crap about religion its the main reason the world is a complete mess. I would never defend Christianity i was only pointing out that Muslims have Jews then Christians as there main focus and it will never stop.I think religion is a outdated concept and should be eliminated its self. But thats just a pipe dream.

Please point out to me this nation called Arabia and what exactly constitutes a "Middle Eastern style state", other than a nation that is in the Mid-East.

The UN is basically a toothless organization if the US doesn't support its resolutions. Even the other permanent members of the Security Council and vetoing nations cannot match the power and influence of the United States.

Its just a sad situation right now. Israel has negotiated for kidnapped soldiers before, even with terrorist organizations. It seems like its Olmert trying to swagger around and show he has brass balls. Sharon's death happened at the worst possible time. I doubt if the kidnapped soldiers are even alive.

It doesn't matter if those soldiers are even alive or not now because Israel is after more than a couple of soldiers who were captured on the Lebanon side of the border.

I agree, at least this is what it seems from where I'm standing. And to be fair, I also think Hezbollah was asking for this. But I am pretty sure the soldiers are alive. Hezbollah know what they are worth, and the whole Kidnapping issue according to them was for the sole purpose of releasing the Lebanese Prisoners in Israel that weren't released the last time Hezbollah Kidnapped and exchanged a soldier for Prisoners.

If Syria hadn't withdrawn from Lebanon last year, how would this situation be playing out? Would Hezbollah still have kidnapped the soldiers? Would Israel be attacking as they are now?

The Bringer said:
SOMETHING will happen in the coming days that Israel will blame on Iran only to drag them into the situation.

Iran does not want war with Israel. Israel does not want war with Iran. Israel wants Hezbollah out of Lebanon. Will they succeed? No. Are they making Hezbollah more powerful as an image after years of many Lebanese working to get Hezbollah out of the mainstream? Yes.
