It starts in 17 minutes!!!

That would change if they let the liquor rules slide. On the other hand, even with the strict regulations, we still have collar-flipped, escalade driving, beast-pounding frat boys roaming the campus at noon on a tuesday, wasted.

Well, once you guys got up by 13 or so you quit attacking and tried to milk clock. That's what I saw as the turning point. You had us on our heals, but by doing that you were forced to take bad shots. Then it all snowballed from there. I really thought we were screwed.

He's too good to be held down the whole game. I was rather impressed with Richmond the first half though. Every three was going in and the defense was insane. Without Boo Wade, we'd a been screwed.

Yeah, we live by the three and die by the three. I can't remember a game recently in which our two point field-goal percentage was better than our three-point percentage. Towards the end, Skrocki just couldn't hit anything, including his free-throws.

Well, that's what scared me. Wisconsin got to the final four in 2000 becuase of the 3 pointer and insane defense. If you'd have told me that you guys play a tough zone (we're much better against man, we can run that swing offense that no one can defend) and shoot the three like it's a free throw I wouldn't have been as confindent in the win. But I think what really happend in that game was that Richmond played such a tight d, they got tired and lost their legs and couldn't shoot anymore. And look at the transition baskets we were getting on that run. Richmond would score and by the time they got back on d Harris was dishing it off to Wilkinson while the other 4 guys just got past half court. They burned themselves out in the first half and couldn't sustain.

And now we go against a struggling Pitt who scored 60 or less points in the last 7 games in front of a home crowd. I'm feeling sweet 16 here. And if we get there, final 4? National Champs? (ok, that won't happen but it's nice to dream, next year though if Harris returns for a senior year). Go Badgers!!!!!!!

NU sets new season standard for power

HONOLULU, Hawaii -- Northwestern certainly didn't feel any negative effects from jet lag after 14 hours of travel Thursday, throttling the Utah Utes 12-3 in its first game of the Hawaii Invitational Friday in Honolulu, Hawaii, behind the 'Cats' best power outing of the season.

Eryn Manahan, Kristen Amegin and Garland Cooper all blasted homeruns for the Wildcats.

Manahan started the power party in the fifth with a three-run shot before Amegin added a solo homer to open up an 8-1 NU lead. Amegin has followed all three of Manahan's homeruns this season with bombs of her own. Cooper added her solo shot in the sixth. The three round-trippers were a game-high for the Wildcats this year.

Northwestern (13-4) added three more runs in the top of the seventh to put the game out of reach. With the bases full of 'Cats, Erin Mobley shot a single to center, plating Jenny Glonke and Katie Logan. Carri Leto then trotted home on a wild pitch, extending the lead to 12-2.

"Utah is a very good hitting team," NU head coach Kate Drohan said. "Courtnay did a good job holding them to only three runs."

i would like to point out that greg "baliset" massi's shitty-ass school's loss pretty much ruined my entire bracket because i'd picked them to go extremely far.

GREG DAMN YOU.
