italian metal bands

I like too many bands from Italy to list. Italy has a huge metal scene. Here are some of my favorites:

Hour of Penance (death metal)
Coram Lethe (technical death metal)
Illogicist (technical death metal)
Gory Blister (death metal)
Copsefucking Art (brutal death metal)
Horrid (early Entombed-style death metal)
Grimness (old school black metal)
Aborym (industrial black metal)
Necrodeath (thrash)
Vexed (thrash)
Schizo (thrash)
Thy Gate Beyond (thrash)
Final Thrash (thrash)
Bulldozer (thrash/first wave black metal)
Natron (death metal)
Mortuary Drape (black metal)
Art Inferno (black metal)
Inchiuvatu (folk black metal)
Astimi (blackened death metal)
Lamentu (black metal)
Mater Tenebra (black metal)
Undertakers (punkish death metal)
Forgotten Tomb (blacked doom metal)
Void of Silence (doom Metal)
Waffen SS (NSBM)
Malnatt (NSBM)
Funeral Oration (black metal)
Nazgul (black metal)
Legion of Darkness (black metal)
Mindaleth (experimental death metal)
Ars Macabra (black metal)
Fearbringer (black metal)
Necrosphere (black metal)
Altar of Perversion (black metal)
Mors Summa (NSBM)
Via Dolorosa (NSBM)
Sturmkaiser (NSBM)
VII Arcano (good melodeath)

There are also TONS of Italian power metal bands, but I'm not very into power metal at all.

Spite Extreme Wing (great black metal)
Tenebrae In Perpetuum (Darkthrone worship done right)
Disarmonia Mundi (Italian melo-death with Speed from Soilwork on harsh vocals)
Art Inferno (interesting and varied BM)
Carnivorous Vagina (disturbing electronics-influenced goregrind)
Latex Baby (more disturbing electronic grind stuff from the guys in CV)
Thee Maldoror Kollective (early stuff is awesome BM)

I can't imagine growling or screaming in Italian..I have a bunch of italian friends and I always laugh when they talk cuz it sounds so funny! It would most likely be more enjoyable hearing Chinese pop than Italian screaming

yeah you people have been talking for 20 posts now and noone has mentioned DEATH SS

Or Paul Chain (solo).

Necrodeath. Their latest was Thrash to the max (with added cowbell goodness).

I can' believe that nobody has mentioned Ephel Duath! Get some clean jazz guitars, add some crazy experimental drumming (especially the cymbal work), some slap bass, screm vox, clean vox, and even...yes...dare I say....saxophone...and you got yourself the highly experimental, controversial, but most of all amazingness that is Ephel Duath!

All three of their cds are very awesome. The Painter's Palette also has trumpet usage every now and then, and Pain Necessary to Know has all sorts of odd stuff in there (like a music box lol).

Yes, "The Painter's Palette" is one of my favorite albums to pop in when I'm not sure what I want to listen to...haha it encompases most of them...

And Zhou, maybe I was mistaken and it does feature trumpet instead of saxophone...My apologies
