I like a good blast of whiskey, but lately I've been all about vodka....

JD and coke is like the nectar of the slobs though.

I don't like Beam as much.

Oh how good is it after a night on the Vodka and you don't have the After Grog Bog.
Vodka for a nice controlled night, Vodka + Jager for a completely fucked up one for me.

Vodka doesn't give me hangovers really unless I get black out wasted, but I rarely have a "controlled" night with vodka hahaha. Shit gets outta hand really fast.

I used to love JD in my teens, but kinda dropped it somewhere along the way. Now it's always Jameson as far as budget whiskey goes. Shit, I might have to try some Jack again next weekend.

Bourbon, lemon juice and sugar all mixed together in to something that only chicks with chest hair would consider drinking.

theres no sugar in them. majority whiskey, the lemon juice just breaks it up enough to where you can drink whiskey all night and not have heartburn. lol most people drink them to where you cant taste the whiskey. i like the taste of whiskey, so i make mine stronger. some people use white soda in them too. i dont though.

Lets revive this thread! I just revived myself from whiskey hangover with... you guessed it, whiskey!

I have tested every american/canadian whiskey I have found in liquor stores around here. Four roses, Seagrams, Jim Beam, Lord Calvert, JackD, Black Velvet reserve/regular.. annnd perhaps some that I don't (want to) remember. I really favour Seagrams over JackD nowadays. Now I'm sipping Lord Calvert and this shit is basically flavourless. It's cheap too so WIN-WIN lol

I have had some of the "real" whiskeys too lately, but I don't really like them :S

A Whiskey Sour according to the IBA contains the following:

4.5 cl Bourbon whiskey
3.0 cl Fresh lemon juice
1.5 cl Gomme syrup
1 Dash egg white

I've never heard of the egg white before, but a quick search tells me that its only to get a slight foam on the drink.

We now have cans of Jack'n'Ginger in the UK... which i gotta say aint that bad... not sure whether i prefer it to jack'n'coke cans or not...
