Like MAB... (just to make an example)...he is an excellent guitarist and his skillz are Godlike...But he's concentrating wahahay too much about getting every single note perfect...I mean...I just can't connect with the guy...it's like he doesn't want to play...like his mum makes him play against his will or something...

Wrong, he does this crazy stuff with his left hand only because of attitude. Plus, I saw him in a clinic and he was the definition of attitude.

Now serious, MAB is not a robot, ans also he does some stuff that require full concentration, so IMO he's got a good balance between attitude and acurate playing.

Thanks, the last few days I was waiting for a long version of this one.

Too bad it's horrible. I wonder if George even considered that Alexi needed some solo spots too? He probably didn't realize that he was too loud. But when the other player plays his solo, I fucking keep away from the frets 12-24!

Pantera's solos are pentatonic mixed with blues/country scales put together with a huge amount of squeals like Zakk Wylde (another hyper-overrated guitarist). If you think that full orchestral things can be composed with just chromatic scale bullshit then do yourself a favour and cut your ears.

And check a goddam vid of Steve's live playing before saying he plays with no feeling.

Steve Vai is not a machine Joonas. Take f.e. Jens Johanson, I have more than once found his stuff boring, but that's because I don't like his style+I'm guitarist and subconsciously I always look for some shredding or whatever, but this doesn't make Jens a bad composer/musician nor a machine. The same could go for Janne outside COB, I don't enjoy Warmen half like I do COB, wether I do enjoy a lot Kyllahullut and Synergy. Also, as Altidudes pointed, it's matter of tastes, and this is IMO great because if we all liked the same it would be all day ''oh yes, this is great'' ''you're right'' ''that's true dude'' and that bullshit and there wouldn't be discussion and it would just be so fucking boring. But one thing is discussing and knowing what you discuss about and other thing is flaming non-stop everyhting you don't like like this dude is doing.
